Târnăveni Map Poster & Print
Târnăveni lies in Mureș County, in the heart of Transylvania, on the valley floor of the Târnava Mică river. From above, the town extends in a long band following the river, with a railway line running parallel, a compact centre of older streets, and blocks of flats and industrial sites spreading along the valley. Low hills, partly covered in vineyards, rise on either side.
Known in Hungarian as Dicsőszentmárton, the town has long had a mixed Romanian and Hungarian population. Its modern growth came with the natural gas of the Transylvanian Basin and the chemical industry built on it in the twentieth century. The Târnave valleys are also a traditional wine region, known for their white wines.
A Târnăveni map poster traces a town shaped by its valley. The river loops across the frame, the rail line follows it closely, and the streets fill the flat ground in between before stopping at the base of the hills. On the slopes, field and vineyard boundaries give way to a finer, quieter texture.

Vineyard slopes
Hills on either side of the valley carry vineyards and fields, their boundaries adding delicate patterns to the upper and lower parts of the poster.

Zakaj Târnăveni
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Târnăveni carries personal meaning for Romanian and Hungarian families alike, and for those who worked in its industries. The valley setting gives the map a strong, elongated shape that suits a wide frame or a narrow wall.
Set the title and subtitle, using the Romanian or Hungarian name if you prefer, and edit the coordinates line. Choose among five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, and order HD files for $9 or a matte printed poster.
