Lowland grid
The flat terrain lets the streets run in straight lines, forming a clear pattern of rectangular blocks. It is the most striking graphic element of the map and holds its shape even at small print sizes.

Tucaní Map Poster & Print
Tucaní sits on the flat plain south of Lake Maracaibo, in the part of Mérida state that runs down from the Andes toward the lake basin. Because the ground is level, the town could be laid out in a fairly regular pattern. From above, straight streets form rectangular blocks around a central area. The pattern then frays into looser development and roads heading out into the countryside.
This lowland, known in Venezuela as the Sur del Lago, is farming country, with plantain growing and cattle ranching shaping the landscape around the town. On a map, that means the settled grid stands out clearly against a wide open surround. Roads and field boundaries run in long straight lines, and waterways draining toward the lake cut across the plain in gentle curves.
A Tucaní map poster captures that contrast between order and openness. The grid is dense and even at the centre, then gives way to long rural roads. In black and white the blocks read almost like a textile pattern. The emptier land around them gives the composition room to breathe, a calm portrait of a working lowland town at the foot of the mountains.

Roads to the plain
Longer roads leave the town and cross the surrounding farmland in straight runs. They connect Tucaní with neighbouring settlements across the Sur del Lago and pull the eye outward to the edges of the frame.
Water across the flats
Streams and drainage channels crossing the lowland toward Lake Maracaibo add thin, curving lines that soften the rectilinear town plan and hint at the wider basin beyond the poster.
