Uberlândia Map Poster & Print
Uberlândia sits on high, open plateau country in the Triângulo Mineiro region of western Minas Gerais. From above the city looks wide and regular, with long avenues running between rectangular blocks that fill much of the flat ground. The Uberabinha River and its tributaries cut shallow valleys through the area, and parks and green corridors often follow them.
The city grew strongly in the twentieth century as a crossroads for road and rail traffic between the southeast of Brazil and the centre-west. It is now a major logistics and agribusiness hub for the region. Uberlândia also has a large federal university, and its surrounding landscape is Cerrado, the savanna that covers much of central Brazil.
A Uberlândia map poster shows a very orderly network. A tight grid fills the centre, larger neighbourhoods spread outward along wide avenues, and highways run across the plateau on the city's edges. The valleys and parks break up the grid in places, adding softer curves to an otherwise geometric drawing.

River valleys
The Uberabinha River and smaller streams cross the city in shallow valleys, often lined with parks. They create curving breaks in the surrounding grid.
Highway junction
Major highways meet around the edges of Uberlândia, a reflection of its role as a transport hub between Brazil's southeast and centre-west.
