Crossroads core
Main roads meet near the centre of town, and the densest cluster of streets gathers around that junction. It gives the plan a clear focal point.

Vadamadurai Map Poster & Print
Vadamadurai lies in the Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, in the interior of the state, where open farmland is broken here and there by rocky hills. Like many towns in the region, it has grown up around the meeting of main roads. Shops and houses line the roads first, and residential streets fill in the spaces behind them.
From above, the core is compact. Near the centre, the lanes are narrow and closely spaced. Further out, the plots grow larger, and the outer streets trail into fields, tanks and farm tracks. Tanks, the traditional irrigation reservoirs of Tamil Nadu, often appear as smooth, open shapes near towns like this.
A Vadamadurai map poster shows a settlement shaped by movement and farming, not by a grand plan. Roads come in from several directions and knot together in the middle. It is a restrained, legible drawing, well suited to anyone with ties to the town or to the Dindigul area.

Dense inner lanes
Around the centre, closely packed lanes form a fine, busy texture that becomes steadily looser towards the edges of town.
Fields and tanks
Outside the built area, farmland and open water bodies take over. The roads thin into single lines and leave generous empty space around the town.
