Van Buren Map Poster & Print
Van Buren sits on the north side of the Arkansas River, directly across from Fort Smith, and the map makes that relationship plain. The river forms a broad curve along the southern edge of town, and bridges carry roads and rail across it. North of the water, streets fan out over gently rising ground toward the wooded foothills that mark the edge of the Ozarks.
The older part of town is compact and rectilinear, with a historic Main Street running toward the riverfront and a rail line cutting through close by. Newer neighbourhoods spread out in looser, curving patterns further from the core. Interstate 40 passes along the town's northern side, a bold diagonal against the smaller residential blocks, and marks the point where regional highways meet.
As the seat of Crawford County and a town named after President Martin Van Buren, it has long been a crossing point between river, road and railway. A Van Buren map poster captures that layering in clean black line: the heavy river, the straight tracks, the historic grid and the interstate, each drawn at its own weight so the whole town reads at a glance.

Historic Main Street

Interstate corridor
Interstate 40 sweeps across the northern side of town, its long curves and interchanges contrasting with the small residential streets that cluster to the south.
