Dispersed lane network
Rather than a single compact centre, Vellūr shows a wide, even web of small lanes. On paper, the pattern looks almost like a textile across the frame.

Vellūr Map Poster & Print
Vellūr is a settlement in the far south of Kerala, India, in the coastal lowlands north of Thiruvananthapuram. Towns in this part of the state rarely have a sharp edge. Houses sit in their own plots among coconut palms and garden trees, and settlements run into one another along the roads, forming a pattern that is spread out rather than dense.
From above, that pattern becomes a fine network of lanes. They branch, curve and join again, following small rises in the ground and the lines of old property boundaries. Main roads carry most of the traffic and stand out as stronger strokes. Around them, the smaller paths form a mesh that fills most of the frame.
Kerala's southern coast is shaped by water: the sea, lagoons and the streams that feed them. The land around Vellūr belongs to that low, wet landscape. A Vellūr map poster keeps things simple, showing the lanes, the roads and the way a Kerala settlement spreads through green land instead of sitting apart from it.

Main road lines
A few larger roads cut through the finer mesh and give the map its direction. They link the settlement to neighbouring towns and to the coast.
Coastal lowland setting
The area lies in the low country of southern Kerala, near the Arabian Sea. The terrain is gentle and the streets spread freely instead of piling up.

Zakaj Vellūr
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many people from Kerala live far from the villages and towns where their families come from. A map of Vellūr is a quiet reminder of home. Its lanes are specific enough to recognise and simple enough to sit well on any wall.
Add a family name, a house name or a date in the title and subtitle, and keep or change the coordinates line. Then choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
