Veracruz Map Poster & Print
Veracruz lies on Panama's Pacific coast in the district of Arraiján, just west of the canal's southern entrance. On a map the shoreline sweeps in a long, smooth curve, backed by a strip of streets and houses that thickens inland. Low hills rise behind the coast, and the roads leading toward the Pan-American Highway cut through them in gentle bends.
The area sits next to the former Howard Air Force Base, a large United States military installation until 1999 that has since been redeveloped as Panama Pacífico, a planned business and residential zone. Its straight runway and wide new avenues make a striking geometric counterpoint to the older, more informal street pattern of Veracruz and its beach.
A Veracruz map poster brings the Pacific into the frame as a broad, calm field along one edge. The beachfront, the neighbourhoods climbing inland and the long lines of the former airbase create a composition with real variety. In black and white it reads as a coastal map with a modern twist, close to one of the world's best-known waterways.

Former airbase grid
Next door, the runway and planned streets of Panama Pacífico, on the site of the old Howard base, add bold straight lines to the composition.
Near the canal
A wider frame reaches toward the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal and the Bridge of the Americas, placing Veracruz beside one of the world's great shipping routes.
