Betwa River
The river runs along the western edge of the town. Its wide, winding course gives the map a strong natural boundary and a clear sense of direction.

Vidisha Map Poster & Print
Vidisha lies on the eastern bank of the Betwa River in Madhya Pradesh, northeast of Bhopal. From above, the river curves along the western side of the town. The dense, irregular lanes of the older quarters sit close to it, while newer colonies and roads stretch towards the east.
The area has a long history. Ancient Besnagar stood nearby, and the Heliodorus Pillar, erected in the second century BCE, still stands there. The Udayagiri Caves with their Gupta-period sculptures are a short distance away, and the Buddhist stupas of Sanchi lie within easy reach.
A Vidisha map poster shows the river's broad curve and the compact centre it frames. The outer districts form a looser pattern, and the surrounding farmland opens up beyond them. In black and white, the long history of the town appears simply in the shape of its streets.

Old town lanes
The older centre is a dense cluster of narrow, irregular streets, creating the finest texture on the poster and the clearest point of focus.
Newer colonies
To the east, residential colonies with more regular road patterns spread out towards the railway and the surrounding fields.
