Illinois Prairie Path
The old interurban right-of-way crosses the village as a continuous trail, cutting through the grid as a clean line of green instead of houses.

Villa Park Map Poster & Print
From above, Villa Park reads as a patient grid of residential blocks in DuPage County. Short streets run north to south and long avenues run east to west, with parks and school grounds breaking the pattern here and there. The village began as a commuter suburb, and its layout still shows it: tidy lots, straight lines and a clear sense of the way to the city.
The strongest line on the map is the Illinois Prairie Path. It follows the old bed of the Chicago Aurora and Elgin interurban railway and crosses the village as a quiet corridor for walkers and cyclists. The former Ovaltine factory, a large brick landmark by the rail line, has been turned into loft apartments, one of several traces of the village's industrial past.
A Villa Park map poster shows how a small suburb can look calm and ordered at this scale. The street grid, the diagonal of the Prairie Path and the scattered green squares of parks all hold up well in black and white. There are no dramatic coastlines here, just the steady rhythm of a place built around homes, schools and the train.

Commuter grid
Regular blocks of single-family homes make up most of the map, a clear pattern that becomes almost textile-like when printed in fine black line.
Ovaltine factory
The large former malted-drink factory near the rail corridor is now loft housing and remains one of the most recognisable buildings in the village.

Zakaj Villa Park
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Villa Park is the kind of place people carry with them: the street they grew up on, the walk to school, the stretch of trail used every weekend. A poster turns that everyday geography into something worth framing, and it suits a hallway or a first apartment somewhere else.
You can set your own title and subtitle, for example a family name and a moving-in year, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 digital files come in six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF.
