Wallmoden Map Poster & Print
Wallmoden lies in the rolling country north of the Harz, in the district of Goslar in Lower Saxony. Its territory covers around seventeen square kilometres, most of it farmland, and on a map the settlement appears as a modest cluster of streets and farmyards, set within a much larger pattern of fields, tracks and occasional stands of woodland.
The name is known beyond the region through the noble family von Wallmoden, which took its name from the place and moved in Hanoverian court circles. Among those who carried the name was Amalie von Wallmoden, later Countess of Yarmouth, a favourite of King George II of Great Britain. The village itself remains quiet and agricultural, and its map reflects that calm.
Since 2021 Wallmoden has been part of the town of Langelsheim, alongside Lutter am Barenberge and Hahausen. A Wallmoden map poster keeps the focus on this one place: the lines of its village streets, the roads leading out toward neighbouring settlements, and the fine texture of field boundaries that fills the rest of the frame.

Field boundaries
Broad agricultural parcels dominate the area, and the tracks between them create a network of faint lines that fills the map around the village.
Rolling terrain
The land rises and falls gently here, and scattered woodland on higher ground breaks up the fields, adding darker patches of texture to the composition.

Zakaj Wallmoden
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Some people hang this map because Wallmoden is home. Others come to it because a family name or a line in a genealogy leads here. Either way, it offers a clear, uncluttered picture of a place that larger maps tend to pass over.
