Walnut Park Map Poster & Print
Walnut Park is an unincorporated community in southeast Los Angeles County, bordered by Huntington Park, South Gate and parts of Los Angeles. From above, it is a dense, regular grid of short residential blocks. The streets are lined with modest houses, and the major boulevards around the edges carry commercial frontage.
The community is small in area but densely populated, and its identity is closely tied to the neighbouring cities and to the wider Southeast LA region. Because it is not incorporated, it is governed by the county, which is one of the small administrative particularities of Los Angeles geography.
On the map, the grid looks almost like woven fabric, with even lines interrupted only by the larger roads. A Walnut Park map poster shows a very specific piece of Los Angeles, the kind of neighbourhood that rarely appears on printed maps but means a great deal to the people who live there.

Boulevard edges
Busy arterial roads run along and through the area. They carry shops and services and mark the boundaries with neighbouring cities.
Part of a larger fabric
The grid continues without a break into Huntington Park and South Gate. The poster shows how Walnut Park fits into this continuous urban pattern.
