Gaverbeek racecourse
The oval of the hippodrome that hosts the Waregem Koerse is one of the few large, clean geometric shapes on the map, easy to spot among the houses.

Waregem Map Poster & Print
Waregem sits in the south of West Flanders, in the gently rolling country between Kortrijk and Ghent. On the map the centre is a tight knot where several old country roads converge around the church and market square, then loosen into residential streets, business parks and fields. The pattern is typical of Flemish towns that grew outward along their approach roads rather than within walls.
The municipality includes former villages that each keep their own small cluster, among them Sint-Eloois-Vijve and Beveren-Leie on the river Leie. The waterway, with its bends and straightened stretches, gives the southern part of the map a clear natural line, while the E17 motorway crosses the area and frames the town on another side.
Waregem is widely known for its horse racing. The Waregem Koerse, a steeplechase held each summer at the Gaverbeek racecourse, draws large crowds, and the track's oval is visible among the town's streets. A Waregem map poster shows that oval alongside the church-centred core and the river villages, a small but distinctive portrait of this corner of Flanders.

River Leie
In the south of the municipality the Leie traces a steady line past Sint-Eloois-Vijve and Beveren-Leie, adding water to an otherwise land-bound map.
Converging roads
Old routes from neighbouring towns meet near the centre, giving the street plan a loose star shape that is characteristic of Flemish market towns.
