Lenne river bends
The Lenne loops through town in pronounced curves. On the poster it is the line that organises everything else, with the districts sitting inside and around its bends.

Werdohl Map Poster & Print
Werdohl lies deep in the Sauerland, in the Märkischer Kreis of North Rhine-Westphalia, where the Lenne cuts a narrow valley through forested hills. From above, the town has no grid and no ring. It follows the river. Houses, roads and the railway all fit into the thin strips of flat land the water leaves behind.
On the map the Lenne is the main line. It bends back on itself more than once, so the built-up areas look like several clusters linked by bridges rather than one compact centre. Side valleys branch off between the hills, each with its own lane of houses, and the blank wooded slopes around them turn into wide areas of white space.
The town grew on metalworking and industry, and the long factory buildings on the valley floor still show up as heavy rectangles among the smaller residential blocks. A Werdohl map poster keeps that working landscape in view: the river, the rail line that runs alongside it, and the steep contours that decided where anything could be built at all.

Valley-floor railway
The railway follows the river through the narrow valley, keeping close to the water and the main road. The three parallel lines give the composition a strong sense of direction.
Wooded side valleys
Smaller valleys run up into the hills, each lined with a single road and a band of houses. Between them the forested slopes stay open, which gives the print room to breathe.

Zakaj Werdohl
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Werdohl is a place people tend to carry with them: the bend of the river, the hill behind the house, the road to work along the valley. A map of it is quiet and recognisable, and it suits a hallway or a study as much as a living room.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name, a year or a street, and pick one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files are $9 for all six sizes, or you can order a printed poster.
