Residential grid
Straight streets and small lots fill almost the entire area. The result is a very even, fine-grained texture that dominates the poster.

Westmont Map Poster & Print
Westmont is an unincorporated community in Los Angeles County, in the south of the Los Angeles basin, bordered on the west by Inglewood. From above, it is almost pure grid: long, straight residential streets crossed by wider boulevards at regular intervals, laid out over completely flat ground.
That regularity is exactly what makes the map interesting. The blocks are mostly small single-family lots, which produce a fine, even texture. Major arterials stand out as thicker lines, and freeway corridors nearby cut across the grid at sharp scale changes. Parks and schools show as occasional open rectangles in the dense pattern.
A Westmont map poster is a portrait of the everyday Los Angeles basin, far from the coast and the hills: a neighbourhood of houses, corner stores and churches built on the classic American grid. For people who grew up here, it shows familiar streets without the noise, in a clean and orderly frame.

Arterial boulevards
Wider avenues cross the neighbourhood at regular intervals. On the map they read as thicker lines dividing the grid into large squares.
Freeway edges
Large freeway corridors pass close by, with ramps and interchanges. They add bold, curving forms to the otherwise strict geometry.

Zakaj Westmont
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Westmont is where many families have lived for generations. A map poster honours a childhood block, a grandmother's house or a first home in South LA, and suits both a modern apartment and a family living room.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a street or year, and coordinates, and choose one of five styles. Noir makes the grid look striking. The digital set costs $9, and framed prints are available through print partners.
