Districts grown together
Several former villages form the town, and each has its own small dense core. The green spaces between them are still visible and give the print a clustered rhythm.

Würselen Map Poster & Print
Würselen is a town in the StädteRegion Aachen, in the far west of Germany, just north-east of Aachen itself. It is not one compact centre but several former villages and districts that have grown together. On the map these clusters are separated by fields, small woods and the valley of the Wurm, a small river that runs along the town's western side.
For a long time, coal mining shaped the area around Würselen, as it did the wider Aachen coalfield, and the town's growth partly followed the mines. Today it is mostly residential and commercial, with the Aachen autobahn junctions nearby. Many people also know the name through politician Martin Schulz, who was mayor here before going to Brussels.
A Würselen map poster shows how the districts fit together: the older village cores, the post-war housing estates between them, the motorway junctions on the edge and the green Wurm valley. It is an attractive map for people from the area who want something more personal than a map of Aachen.

Wurm valley
The small Wurm river and its green valley run along the western side of town, forming a soft, wooded band between Würselen and neighbouring Aachen.
Motorway edge
Autobahn junctions near the town appear as bold curves and loops, a strong graphic contrast to the small-scale streets of the residential districts.

Zakaj Würselen
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Würselen is a hometown for many people who commute to Aachen or have moved elsewhere in Germany. A map of its districts shows the streets where people actually grew up, rather than just the better-known city next door.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with your district's name or a date, and edit the coordinates. Choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, as a $9 download or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
