Xinyingpan Map Poster & Print
Xinyingpan is a township in the mountains of northern Yunnan, in the high country toward the Sichuan border. Settlement here depends on the terrain. Roads run along valley floors and climb in long curves over the ridges, and the town itself sits on one of the few stretches of open, level ground in the area.
The map is therefore sparse and strongly shaped. A small cluster of streets forms the centre, and a handful of roads leave it in different directions, bending around the mountains rather than crossing them. Across the rest of the frame, isolated hamlets and farm tracks appear as small marks in wide open space.
That openness is what makes a Xinyingpan map poster striking. With so much empty ground, every line carries weight. The composition feels closer to a landscape drawing than a city plan, which suits a place set among the high ranges of the Yunnan plateau.

Mountain roads
Roads out of the township curve and switch back across the slopes. They draw long, flowing lines that give the poster much of its movement.
Open highland space
Large areas of the map are left empty. This directly reflects the mountains and highland pasture around this part of northern Yunnan.
