Zhangji Map Poster & Print
Zhangji lies in the Xuzhou area of northern Jiangsu, on the broad, low plain that stretches across this corner of eastern China. From above, the land is almost completely flat, so the town's plan is shaped by roads rather than terrain. Long, straight routes cross each other at near right angles, and the blocks between them are filled with housing compounds, workshops and small factories.
Like many towns in the Xuzhou region, Zhangji has grown fast in recent decades as industry spread out from the city. On the map, older lanes near the centre sit beside newer, much larger rectangular plots. Around the edges, a patchwork of fields, ditches and village clusters fills the space between the town and its neighbours.
A Zhangji map poster shows a very clear kind of modern Chinese town, a grid set on level ground where every road and field boundary is visible. In black and white the drawing is almost architectural. It is made of straight lines, repeated blocks and the fine pattern of agricultural plots that surrounds them.

Industrial parcels
Factory and warehouse sites show up as big rectangles with a few internal lanes. They stand out clearly against the finer grain of residential streets.
Farmland patchwork
The flat plain around the town is split into narrow fields and small water channels. It forms a delicate, lined texture at the edges of the poster.

Zakaj Zhangji
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
A map of Zhangji is a personal keepsake for people who grew up or work in the Xuzhou area. It is a way to keep a hometown's shape close, even after moving to a larger city or abroad.
The poster can carry your own title and subtitle, for example a family name and a year, along with the coordinates. Choose Classic black & white for a crisp look, or Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand for a different mood.
