Zhucheng Map Poster & Print
Zhucheng lies in the southeast of Shandong, within the prefecture of Weifang, on gently rolling land between the hills and the coastal plain. Its centre shows a clear, regular pattern of wide streets and large blocks, typical of recent growth in Chinese cities, with rivers and reservoirs around the city adding softer shapes to the map.
The city's wider reputation rests on what lies beneath it. Zhucheng is one of the richest dinosaur fossil sites in China and is often called "Dinosaur City." Large bone beds have been excavated in the area, and a tyrannosaur found here was named Zhuchengtyrannus. Museums and excavation sites now attract visitors from far beyond Shandong.
Beyond the urban area, farmland and villages fill the landscape, divided by roads and small watercourses. A Zhucheng map poster shows the present-day city, organised and expanding, while the fossil sites add a sense of deep time to an otherwise ordinary grid of streets.

Rivers and reservoirs near the city form curved, irregular shapes that balance the straight lines of the grid.
Fossil country
The surrounding hills hold the dinosaur fossil sites that made Zhucheng widely known, visible on the map as open land beyond the urban edge.
