Planned street grid
The original town plan laid streets out in an orderly grid, which still gives the map an even, measured rhythm from its western edge to the lake.

Zion Map Poster & Print
Zion lies in the far northeast of Illinois, on the shore of Lake Michigan just south of the Wisconsin state line. It was founded in 1901 by the evangelist John Alexander Dowie as a planned religious community, and the layout of that period still shapes the map: a regular street grid running east toward the lake, where the shoreline forms a long, nearly straight edge.
Many streets carry biblical names, Shiloh Boulevard among them, a trace of the town's origins that reads almost like an index when seen on a map. Along the shore, Illinois Beach State Park preserves a long stretch of dunes, marshes and beach, leaving a quiet band of open land between the streets and the water.
A Zion map poster makes the most of that clarity. The planned grid prints as a crisp, even pattern, the parkland along the shore shows as a pale strip, and the lake closes the design on one side. It is an unusually legible map for a town of its size, with a founding story written directly into its streets.

Zakaj Zion
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Zion is a town with an unusual origin, and its map shows it plainly. A poster suits residents, people who grew up along the Illinois lakeshore and anyone drawn to the history of planned communities in America.
Add a title and subtitle of your own, such as a street name or a year, and adjust the coordinates line. Classic black & white and Blueprint emphasise the grid, while Noir, Paper and Sand shift the mood from dark and graphic to soft and warm.
