Bozova is a district town in Şanlıurfa province, in south-eastern Turkey. It stands on open plateau land close to the reservoir of the Atatürk Dam, the vast lake created on the Euphrates. The town is compact, with a simple network of streets around a central area and newer blocks on the outskirts, all set within wide, dry countryside.
The creation of the reservoir changed the landscape of the district, flooding river valleys and turning parts of the area into lakeshore.
