Campbell Map Poster & Print
Campbell is a small city in Santa Clara County, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley, bordered by San Jose, Los Gatos and Saratoga. From above, it appears as a dense suburban fabric of residential blocks and commercial corridors, with a compact historic downtown near its centre.
Before the technology industry arrived, the area was known for its orchards, and Campbell grew as a fruit-packing and shipping town. Today the old downtown along Campbell Avenue retains a walkable scale. Los Gatos Creek runs along the eastern side of the city, accompanied by a popular trail and a series of percolation ponds, while highways 17 and 85 cross the area.
A Campbell map poster shows the layers of the city: the older grid of the downtown, the curving streets of later subdivisions, the green line of the creek and the heavy strokes of the freeways. In black and white, these different patterns sit together in a compact, well-balanced composition.
