Catonsville Map Poster & Print
Catonsville is an unincorporated community in Baltimore County, Maryland, on the western edge of Baltimore city. It grew along Frederick Road, an old route west, and that road still forms the backbone of the map. From it, residential streets spread out in gentle curves over rolling ground, while the Baltimore Beltway runs along the eastern side.
The southern and western edges fall steeply into the Patapsco River valley, where Patapsco Valley State Park protects a long wooded corridor. The University of Maryland, Baltimore County, lies on the community's southern side, and local music shops inspired the nickname Music City Maryland. In 1968, the Catonsville Nine draft protest brought national attention.
A Catonsville map poster shows the contrast between the settled blocks of older neighbourhoods near Frederick Road and the green, contoured land dropping toward the river. With the university campus and the Beltway in frame, it reads as a clear portrait of an inner Baltimore suburb, familiar to students, longtime residents and those who have moved on.

Patapsco Valley
Wooded slopes of the river valley form the southern and western edges, leaving large open areas on the poster where streets give way to parkland.
UMBC campus
The university's ring road and cluster of buildings stand out as a distinct, self-contained shape on the community's southern side.
