Caldeirão crater
The collapsed summit forms a broad, almost circular basin with a lake on its floor. It is drawn as a clean ring of contours that anchors the centre of the poster.

Corvo Island Map Poster & Print
Corvo is the smallest island of the Azores, and from above it looks almost like a textbook drawing of a volcanic island. A roughly oval cone rises straight out of the ocean, and its summit has collapsed into a wide crater known as the Caldeirão. Inside the rim, a lake and small islets sit on the crater floor. The outer slopes fall steeply to cliffs on nearly every side.
The only gentle ground lies to the south. There, a low lava platform holds the island's one settlement, Vila do Corvo, and a short airstrip beside the sea. On a map this corner becomes a dense knot of lanes in an otherwise empty landscape. That contrast gives the whole composition its balance: a small cluster of streets beneath a very large, very quiet circle.
Corvo and its neighbour Flores make up the western group of the archipelago. Both sit on the North American side of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, far out in the ocean. That remoteness brings birdwatchers each autumn, hoping to see American species blown off course. A Corvo Island map poster keeps that sense of isolation, framing a lone volcanic outline with plenty of open water around it.

Vila do Corvo
The island's only village sits on a low platform at the southern tip. Its tight lanes are the one dense patch of streets on the whole map.
Cliffed coastline
Steep slopes drop to the ocean around most of the island, so the shoreline reads as a firm, unbroken edge rather than a scatter of beaches and coves.

Pse Corvo Island
Një hartë me kuptim
Corvo appeals to people who love the edges of the map: sailors, birders, travellers who made the crossing from Flores, and Azoreans whose families came from the island. Its simple outline works at any size and holds its own on a bare wall.
You can set your own title and subtitle, add a date such as the day you landed, and change the coordinates line. Choose from five styles, from Classic black & white to Blueprint or Sand. Download the HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
