Looping streets
Residential roads bend and circle back instead of crossing at right angles. On the poster they create flowing, almost fingerprint-like curves across the neighbourhood.

Southchase Map Poster & Print
Southchase is a residential community in Orange County, Florida, south of central Orlando and near the main routes heading toward Kissimmee. It was developed as a planned suburb, and that shows immediately from above. There is no grid here. Streets curve into loops and end in cul-de-sacs, each neighbourhood feeding out onto a few collector roads.
Water is the other defining feature. Central Florida's flat, wet ground needs stormwater ponds, and Southchase has many of them. These are small lakes with smooth, rounded outlines, tucked between rows of houses. On a map they appear as a scatter of solid shapes among the curving streets. Together they give the area an almost organic pattern despite the planning.
A Southchase map poster turns this suburban layout into a surprisingly graphic image. The swirling streets and round ponds create movement across the sheet, while the major roads along the edges hold it in place. It is a faithful portrait of how much of modern Florida is actually laid out.

Retention lakes
Rounded stormwater ponds sit between groups of homes throughout the community. They show up as smooth solid shapes that give the design weight and rhythm.
Arterial edges
A few major roads border the community and connect it to Orlando and the tourism corridor. Their straight lines frame the softer curves inside.

Pse Southchase
Një hartë me kuptim
For many families, Southchase is where they first owned a home in Florida, or where kids grew up between school, the pond and the cul-de-sac. The map shows the actual street where that happened, not a general picture of Orlando.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with your street name and the year you moved in. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 HD download comes as PNG and PDF files, or order a matte print with an optional frame.
