Agía Paraskeví Map Poster & Print
Agía Paraskeví sits in the northeastern part of the Athens basin, at the foot of Mount Hymettus. On the map, the western side is a close weave of residential streets, the kind of dense, irregular pattern that covers much of greater Athens. As the ground rises to the east, the street network loosens and eventually gives way to the empty contours of the mountain.
The suburb takes its name from a church dedicated to Saint Paraskevi, and it has grown from a village into a substantial municipality with its own centre, squares and shopping streets. It is also home to the Demokritos National Centre for Scientific Research, whose campus appears on the map as a distinctive green block among the housing.
An Agía Paraskeví map poster shows a very Athenian relationship between city and hill. The streets press right up to the slope, then stop, leaving a clear boundary between built-up neighbourhoods and open ground. That edge gives the composition a natural balance, with texture on one side and quiet space on the other.

Demokritos research campus
The grounds of the Demokritos National Centre for Scientific Research form a large, open block within the urban fabric, easy to pick out among the surrounding streets.
Dense residential weave
Most of the suburb is a close network of short, irregular streets typical of the Athens basin, giving the poster a fine, detailed texture.
