Alexandria Map Poster & Print
Alexandria, the seat of Teleorman County in southern Romania, was founded in 1834 and named after Prince Alexandru Ghica. Unlike many older towns, it was planned from the start, and its map shows a remarkably regular grid of straight streets and rectangular blocks laid out across the flat Wallachian plain.
The Vedea River flows along the edge of the town, its natural curves contrasting with the geometric street plan. The main commercial street and the central square form the heart of the grid, with the cathedral nearby, while newer apartment blocks and industrial areas extend around the historic core.
An Alexandria map poster is a strong choice for anyone who loves clean, ordered cities. The planned grid gives the composition a crisp, architectural look, and the river adds a single organic line. In the Blueprint style it looks almost like the original town plan; in Classic it reads as elegant and graphic.
