Bartley Reservoir
The reservoir forms a large, smooth shape on the southern side of the district, easily the most distinctive feature of the local map.

Mapa
Bartley Green Map Poster & Print
Bartley Green is a residential district on the south-western edge of Birmingham, where the city begins to meet the countryside of Worcestershire. On a map it is defined by postwar housing estates: crescents, closes and looping roads rather than long straight terraces. Green spaces break up the pattern, and the built-up area thins out toward farmland and hills.
The most recognisable shape nearby is Bartley Reservoir, a broad body of water that supplies part of the city and appears on the map as a clean, pale form among the streets and fields. To the north, Woodgate Valley Country Park keeps a corridor of meadow and brook running through the suburbs.
A Bartley Green map poster is a portrait of an ordinary, lived-in part of Birmingham rather than a postcard view. The minimal style suits it: rounded estate roads, school grounds, playing fields and the reservoir combine into a pattern that anyone who grew up here will recognise at once, street by street.

Estate street patterns
Crescents, closes and cul-de-sacs typical of mid-century housing give the area a looping, cellular texture quite unlike Birmingham's inner-city grids.
Valley green space
Open parkland along Woodgate Valley creates a soft green corridor through the suburbs, with footpaths following the course of a small brook.
