Mapa
Beaver Dam Map Poster & Print
Beaver Dam is the largest city in Dodge County in southeastern Wisconsin, and water defines its map. Beaver Dam Lake, long and irregular in shape, stretches away from the city to the northwest. The Beaver Dam River flows through the centre and crosses the downtown grid in a series of bends.
The older part of the city follows a fairly regular grid of streets around the downtown area, with bridges crossing the river at several points. Newer residential neighbourhoods around it have curving streets and cul-de-sacs. Toward the edges, the landscape opens into the farmland and wetlands typical of this part of the Midwest.
The city is home to Wayland Academy, a private preparatory school founded in 1855, whose campus occupies its own green space within the street pattern. A Beaver Dam map poster shows the long shoreline of the lake, the curves of the river and the ordered blocks of the city. Together they make a balanced portrait of small-city Wisconsin.
