Bercham Map Poster
Bercham lies on the eastern side of Ipoh, the capital of Perak, in the broad Kinta Valley. From above it is a grid of residential estates, terraced housing rows and neighbourhood streets laid out on the flat valley floor. The limestone hills of the Kinta area rise nearby, their steep, forested shapes standing out sharply against the regular housing below.
The Kinta Valley was once one of the world's richest tin-mining regions, and former mining land around Ipoh left behind ponds and lakes that still dot the landscape. Bercham developed as a residential area as Ipoh expanded outward, and today it is largely a place of family homes, schools, markets and local shops.
A Bercham map poster shows the repeating rhythm of Malaysian terrace housing: rows of long, narrow plots set along parallel streets, broken by main roads, drains and open fields. Where the estates meet the hills or the old mining pools, the pattern stops abruptly, giving the map clear and interesting edges.

Limestone hills
Steep karst hills near the suburb stand out as dense, irregular shapes, a hallmark of the Kinta Valley landscape around Ipoh.
Former mining ponds
Water bodies left by past tin mining are scattered around the wider area, their irregular outlines interrupting the otherwise orderly layout of housing estates.
