Betamcherla Map Poster & Print
Betamcherla is a town in the Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh, in the dry country of the southern Deccan plateau. Its map shows a compact centre of dense streets, with roads and a railway line leading out across open, rocky land and fields.
The area is known for its limestone and stone-slab quarrying, and the landscape around the town is marked by workings, quarries and small industrial sites. On a wider map these appear as patches and irregular shapes among the farmland, with low hills and outcrops breaking up the plain.
The Belum Caves, among the longest cave systems on the Indian subcontinent, lie in the same wider region, formed in the limestone that underlies this part of Andhra Pradesh. A Betamcherla map poster shows a working town set in a stony, open landscape where the geology shapes the land.
