Talcott Mountain
The traprock ridge along the western border appears as a long, empty strip on the map. Its steep slopes and parkland leave almost no room for streets.

Mapa
Bloomfield Map Poster & Print
Bloomfield sits just north of Hartford in central Connecticut. Suburban neighbourhoods, open fields and woodland share its map in roughly equal measure. Roads fan out from a modest town centre, with a few main routes linking to Hartford and the neighbouring towns. Streets curve through the residential areas rather than forming a strict grid, giving the plan a relaxed, spreading shape.
Along the western edge rises Talcott Mountain, part of the long Metacomet Ridge, and its steep ground leaves a band almost free of streets. Penwood State Park covers part of that ridge. The town was originally known as Wintonbury and was incorporated as Bloomfield in 1835. Its old farmland can still be seen in the open spaces between newer subdivisions.
A Bloomfield map poster shows how a New England town mixes old roads with twentieth-century neighbourhoods. The winding cul-de-sacs, the straight historic routes and the empty band of the ridge make a varied, balanced composition. It is a thoughtful gift for a family settling in Hartford County, or a keepsake for anyone who grew up here.

Radiating routes
Several main roads lead out from the town centre toward Hartford and nearby towns. They draw clear spokes that give order to the otherwise loose suburban pattern.
Open land
Fields, woods and golf courses break up the residential areas. They create quiet white spaces that give the print a sense of air and scale.
