Valley centre
The civic centre is set low in the bowl, where the main roads meet. From there the streets fan out and climb, giving the poster a clear radial shape.

Mapa
Bradford Map Poster & Print
Bradford sits in a natural bowl, and its street plan follows the hills. The centre is in the valley bottom, where Bradford Beck once ran in the open before it was covered over. Roads climb steeply out in every direction, and terraces are stacked along the contours. On the map the streets bend and curve with the landscape, not with a planner's grid.
In the nineteenth century Bradford was a world centre of the wool trade. Merchants built the warehouses of Little Germany, and to the north Titus Salt built the model village of Saltaire, now a World Heritage Site. In 2025 the city was UK City of Culture.
A Bradford map poster shows the regular squares of the city centre, including City Park and its large mirror pool, against the tightly packed terraces on the hillsides. Toward the edges of the district, moorland and open fields press in close.

Little Germany
A quarter of large Victorian merchants' warehouses east of the centre. On the map it is a small cluster of big, heavy blocks on a slope.
Hillside terraces
Long rows of terraced houses follow the contour lines around the valley. They give the map a fine, wave-like texture that is easy to recognise.

Zašto Bradford
Mapa koja nešto znači
Bradford is a city of close families and long working histories, and many people who grew up on its hillsides now live elsewhere. The map shows the steep terraces and valley roads more honestly than a skyline photo.
Name the street you grew up on in the title, add a date or family name to the subtitle, and set the exact coordinates. All five styles are available, including Classic black & white, which suits the stone terraces well.
