Mapa
Brook Park Map Poster & Print
Brook Park is a suburb southwest of Cleveland, Ohio, on the flat plain that stretches inland from Lake Erie. Large-scale infrastructure dominates its map. Cleveland Hopkins International Airport lies along its northern edge, and Interstates 480 and 71 pass nearby. Industrial sites fill large blocks between the residential areas.
The city grew quickly in the mid-twentieth century, and its neighbourhoods are regular streets of single-family houses built in that period. Ford has long operated engine plants in Brook Park, and NASA's Glenn Research Center sits beside the airport. The result is an unusual mix of quiet suburban streets, heavy industry and aerospace research.
A Brook Park map poster turns that mix into a strong graphic image. The airport's runways appear as long, bold forms, and the highways cut clean curves across the frame. The residential grids fill the remaining space with a fine, even texture. It is an unexpectedly striking portrait of an American industrial suburb.

Postwar street grid
Neighbourhoods of mid-century houses are laid out in regular blocks. Their tight, even pattern contrasts with the scale of the nearby industry.
Interstate interchanges
Highway ramps and interchanges curve across the map. Their sweeping lines frame the residential areas and link the suburb to Cleveland.
