Mapa
Burlington Map Poster & Print
Burlington lies in Middlesex County, about a dozen miles north-west of Boston. Highways define it on a map. Interstate 95, known locally as Route 128, sweeps across the town, and U.S. Route 3 meets it here, so large interchanges and ramps are some of the most striking shapes in the frame. Between them are the curving streets and cul-de-sacs typical of postwar New England suburbs.
Route 128 became known as a technology corridor in the second half of the twentieth century. Burlington became home to office parks, research campuses and the Burlington Mall, which appear as large, simple footprints near the highways. Further in, the town common, older roads and wooded land recall the farming town incorporated in 1799.
A Burlington map poster suits people who have raised families here, worked in its offices or grown up on its quiet streets. In monochrome, the highway curves bring energy and the suburban loops add rhythm. The green gaps of woods and reservoir land keep the composition light.

Suburban loops
Residential areas are made of curving streets, crescents and cul-de-sacs. This soft, looping texture fills much of the town between the main roads.
Office and retail footprints
Office parks, research campuses and the Burlington Mall appear as broad building outlines and car parks close to the highways. They record the town's role in the tech corridor.
