Cerquilho Map Poster & Print
Cerquilho is a municipality in the interior of São Paulo state, in the region around Sorocaba and Tietê. Its urban area is compact and organised on a largely regular grid, with straight blocks laid out around a central square and church, as in many towns of the São Paulo interior.
Beyond the grid, the map opens onto farmland: fields, pastures and plantations separated by country roads and small watercourses. The edges of the town show newer residential subdivisions, often laid out as their own blocks of curved or rectangular streets, attached to the older core by a few main avenues.
A Cerquilho map poster presents a town whose shape is simple and orderly, with the grid clearly separated from the countryside around it. That clarity makes it a strong graphic subject. For people from Cerquilho, the square, the main avenues and the familiar blocks of home are all easy to recognise at a glance.
