The Marne bend
The river sweeps along the town in a long, smooth arc, drawn on the poster as a calm band that separates Champigny from its neighbours on the far bank.

Champigny-sur-Marne Map Poster & Print
Champigny-sur-Marne is in the Val-de-Marne department, a short distance east of Paris, beside one of the broad meanders the Marne makes before it joins the Seine. On the map the river forms a long, curving edge of the town, lined with small islands and quays. Behind it the residential streets climb gently away from the water toward higher ground.
The town's name is tied to the Battle of Champigny, fought in the winter of 1870 during the Siege of Paris, when French troops tried to break through the Prussian lines on these slopes. In the twentieth century Champigny grew into a large residential suburb, and today RER lines cross the map as firm, straight strokes carrying commuters into the capital.
A Champigny-sur-Marne map poster shows the full contrast between the soft line of the river and the orderly suburban streets behind it: houses with gardens, larger housing estates, parks and the rail corridors that tie everything to Paris. The water frames the design naturally, and the streets fill the rest of the sheet with a fine, even texture.

River islands
Small islands sit in the Marne along the town's banks. Their slim outlines add detail to the waterline on a stretch of river long popular for walks and weekend leisure.
Rail corridors
RER lines run through the town toward central Paris, and their tracks and stations show as clean straight lines cutting across the curving residential streets.

Zašto Champigny-sur-Marne
Mapa koja nešto znači
For many Parisians, Champigny is where they found their first garden, their first house near the river or the school their children grew up in. A map of those streets, anchored by the Marne, is a quiet reminder of the neighbourhood as it is lived in, not as it looks in photographs.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with the date you moved in, then pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD files cost $9 and come in six print sizes, and printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
