River valley
The small Chernushka river traces a winding line through the town. It softens the otherwise regular street pattern.

Mapa
Chernushka Map Poster & Print
Chernushka is in the south of Perm Krai, in the gently rolling country west of the Urals. The town takes its name from the small Chernushka river, whose valley runs through it. On a map, the centre is a fairly regular grid of blocks, and industrial areas and rail lines stretch along one side. Fields and forest fill the landscape beyond.
The town grew with the railway and later with the oil industry, which became central to its economy in the second half of the twentieth century. The surrounding district is dotted with oilfield infrastructure, and the town serves as an administrative and service centre for the area. Its layout reflects that practical history.
A Chernushka map poster has a grounded, orderly look: blocks of Soviet-era housing, a straight railway corridor, and the thin line of the river winding across the grid. It is a map of a working town, clear and legible, and it looks honest on a wall.

Railway corridor
Tracks and sidings form long, parallel lines along the edge of the town. They record the railway that helped it grow.
Regular residential blocks
The centre is laid out in a clear grid of blocks and courtyards, typical of towns that expanded quickly in the Soviet period.
