Cul-de-sac neighbourhoods
Winding residential streets and dead ends fill most of the township. Each neighbourhood forms its own small pattern, and together they make a dense, looping texture on the map.

Mapa
Cherry Hill Map Poster & Print
Cherry Hill is a classic postwar American suburb, and its map shows it. Instead of a grid, most of the township is made of looping streets, crescents and cul-de-sacs grouped into separate neighbourhoods. Between them run wide arterial roads, including Route 70 and Route 38, and interstates such as I-295 and the New Jersey Turnpike pass along its edges.
The township was called Delaware Township until 1961, when residents voted to adopt the name Cherry Hill, taken from a local farm. The same year the Cherry Hill Mall opened, one of the first enclosed shopping malls on the East Coast. The Cooper River runs along the northern side, with a long park and a lake used for rowing.
A Cherry Hill map poster turns suburban planning into an intricate pattern. Curling residential streets look almost like fingerprints next to the straight lines of the highways. Philadelphia sits just across the Delaware River, a few miles to the west, which is why so many residents commute to the city.

Route 70 corridor
A major highway crosses the township east to west. It is lined with shopping centres and offices and cuts a firm straight line through the curving streets.
Cooper River Park
Along the northern boundary the river widens into a long lake bordered by parkland. It is a well-known venue for rowing regattas and a green edge on the poster.
