Mapa
College Park Map Poster & Print
College Park, just outside Washington, D.C., is shaped above all by the University of Maryland, whose flagship campus fills a large part of the map. From above you can see its looping campus roads, broad lawns and the long green mall. They sit against the straight line of Baltimore Avenue, the US Route 1 corridor that runs north to south through the city.
East of the campus, the Paint Branch and the Northeast Branch of the Anacostia River trace green, winding corridors lined with trails. Nearby is College Park Airport, founded in 1909 when Wilbur Wright trained the first military pilots there. It is widely regarded as the oldest continuously operating airport in the world. Metro and rail lines add straight diagonals to the pattern.
A College Park map poster brings these layers together: the campus core, the neighbourhoods of small blocks around it, the creek valleys and the airport's single runway. Many graduates recognise it immediately, because so much of their daily life happened within a few of its lines.

Route 1 corridor
Baltimore Avenue cuts straight through the city, lined with shops and housing. It is the main axis of the poster, and everything else hangs from it.
Historic airfield
College Park Airport, dating from 1909, appears as a single runway near the Anacostia tributaries. It is a small but meaningful mark in aviation history.
