Crofton Parkway loop
The parkway forms a continuous ring around the heart of the community. It is the most recognisable line on the map and the spine of the original 1960s plan.

Mapa
Crofton Map Poster & Print
Crofton lies in western Anne Arundel County, Maryland, between Annapolis and the Washington suburbs. It began in the 1960s as a planned community, and its original layout is unmistakable from above: Crofton Parkway traces a long loop around a golf course, and residential streets branch off the outside of that ring in curving lanes and closes.
Around that core, later growth follows the main roads. Routes 3 and 450 meet near the community, bringing shopping centres and wider blocks, and the Patuxent and Little Patuxent rivers run through wooded land to the west. The contrast between the neat oval of the original plan and the looser development around it is the main story of the map.
A Crofton map poster turns that suburban plan into a graphic object. The parkway loop becomes a strong closed line, the golf course a quiet open space in the middle, and the branching streets a pattern that looks almost botanical in black and white. It is a portrait of postwar American planning, seen from a very local point of view.

Golf course centre
Instead of a town square, the middle of the loop is a golf course, which appears on the poster as an open, pale space surrounded by homes.
Cul-de-sac branches
Short curving streets and closes spread outward from the ring, giving the neighbourhoods the leaf-like pattern typical of American planned suburbs.

Zašto Crofton
Mapa koja nešto znači
Crofton is the kind of place where people remember the exact loop they walked, cycled or drove every day. For families who raised children there, the map feels specific in a way a generic Maryland print never could.
Personalise it with your street name, a move-in date or your family name in the subtitle, and choose one of five styles. The $9 digital download includes 18×24″ and 24×36″ files as well as metric sizes, all without a watermark.
