Crystal Airport
The airfield's intersecting runways and open grounds form the largest unbroken shape on the map, a geometric clearing among the residential blocks on the city's northern side.

Mapa
Crystal Map Poster & Print
Crystal is a suburb in Hennepin County, Minnesota, directly northwest of Minneapolis. Its map is typical of the inner suburbs that grew up after the Second World War: a regular grid of residential streets, a few wider arterials carrying traffic toward the city, and small parks spread among the blocks at fairly even intervals.
The strongest single feature is Crystal Airport, a general aviation field whose crossing runways make a large open shape among the houses. Lakes and ponds on the edges of the city add soft outlines to an otherwise rectilinear plan, a reminder that this is still Minnesota, where water turns up in almost every neighbourhood.
A Crystal map poster rewards a closer look. From a distance the grid seems uniform, but up close you can see the curving cul-de-sacs of later subdivisions next to the straighter streets of earlier development, all bounded by the neighbouring suburbs that close in on every side.

Suburban grid
Most of the city is laid out in regular rectangular blocks, which gives the print an even rhythm and makes the parks and schools easy to pick out.
Lakes at the edges
Small lakes and ponds near the city limits break up the straight lines with rounded shapes, the way water does throughout the Twin Cities area.

Zašto Crystal
Mapa koja nešto znači
Crystal is the kind of place people call home for decades: the house they grew up in, a first home bought near Minneapolis, the street where they learned to ride a bike. A clean map of those blocks is a quiet way to remember it, and it looks equally at home in a hallway or a study.
Add a family name, a move-in date or the exact coordinates of your street to the title and subtitle. The map comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the airfield and the grid especially well.
