Mapa
Częstochowa Map Poster & Print
Częstochowa lies on the upper Warta River in southern Poland, and its map is organised around one unmistakable line. The Aleja Najświętszej Maryi Panny, a broad tree-lined avenue, runs from the old town area near the river straight west toward the hill of Jasna Góra. Along this axis the city centre developed, with grids of streets branching north and south from it.
At the western end, the Jasna Góra monastery sits on its rise, surrounded by walls and a park, a compact shape that closes the avenue like a full stop. East of the centre, the Warta winds through the city in a narrow green corridor. Industrial districts, housing estates and railway lines fill out the rest of the map, giving it a busier outer ring.
Jasna Góra holds the icon of the Black Madonna, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Central Europe, and every summer thousands of pilgrims arrive on foot from across Poland, especially for the August feast of the Assumption. A Częstochowa map poster shows the city's structure clearly, with the route they follow drawn as a single, confident line.

Jasna Góra hill
The monastery complex and its surrounding park form a distinct, enclosed shape at the western end of the avenue, visible on the map as a quiet green island among the streets.
Warta River
The Warta crosses the eastern side of the city in a narrow valley, a soft curving line that contrasts with the straight streets of the centre and the avenue above it.

Zašto Częstochowa
Mapa koja nešto znači
For many Poles, Częstochowa is tied to pilgrimage, family tradition and faith; for others it is simply home. Either way, the long avenue ending at Jasna Góra makes the city instantly recognisable, and it reads beautifully on a wall in clean black lines.
Personalise the poster with a title and subtitle, such as the date of a pilgrimage, wedding or move, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Blueprint, and get HD files for $9 or a printed poster.
