Mapa
Dasheng Map Poster & Print
Dasheng is a town in Shandong province in eastern China, in the uplands at the centre of the province where the plains give way to low mountains. On a map it appears as a compact settlement with a main road through its centre. Blocks of housing and workshops line either side, and farmland, streams and hills surround it.
Like many towns in rural Shandong, Dasheng serves the villages around it as a centre for markets, schools and services. The map reflects that role. The built area is concentrated, and roads branch out to smaller settlements. Rivers and field boundaries in the countryside add a looser set of lines around the core.
A Dasheng map poster offers a simple, honest image of a Chinese country town. With no famous monuments or skyline, the design relies on structure alone: the main street, the grid of newer blocks, and rural roads fading into open land. It is a personal print for people from the town and their families.
