Dasūya lies in Hoshiarpur district in the Doaba region of Punjab, the fertile land between the Beas and Sutlej rivers. On a map the town is a dense centre of lanes and markets along a major highway. Around it lies an evenly divided plain of fields, canals and village roads.
It sits on the highway from Jalandhar to Pathankot, the route north toward Jammu and the Himachal hills, which has long made it a stopping point for travellers. The Beas flows to the west of the town, and the land rises gradually toward the Shivalik foothills in the north-east of the district.
