Mapa
Dix Hills Map Poster & Print
Dix Hills is a hamlet in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk County, on Long Island in New York. It sits on some of the higher ground of the island's interior, and it is known for its large residential lots and wooded character. On the map, that shows as a relatively sparse network of long, curving roads rather than a tight grid.
Two major routes cross the area: the Long Island Expressway and the Northern State Parkway, both running east to west. Between and around them, local roads wind through neighbourhoods and green space, including parkland and golf courses. There is no traditional downtown, so the map has an even, open quality.
A Dix Hills map poster emphasises the flowing road network and the generous spacing between streets. The highways provide strong horizontal lines, while the residential roads curve and branch through the space in between. The result is a light, airy print with a clear suburban signature.

Large-lot streets
Residential roads curve widely and are spaced far apart, reflecting the large properties. The map therefore looks lighter and more open than denser Long Island suburbs.
Parks and green space
Parkland, golf courses and wooded areas break up the residential pattern, adding open spaces between neighbourhoods and giving the composition room to breathe.
