Dos Hermanas lies just south of Seville on the level farmland of the lower Guadalquivir. It has grown into one of the most populous towns in Andalusia that is not a provincial capital. The map shows a traditional centre of narrow, irregular streets around the main church and squares, with larger modern blocks spreading out in every direction.
The railway line to Cádiz runs past the centre, and major roads link the town north to Seville. Outlying districts such as Montequinto, closer to the city, form clusters of their own.
