Mapa
Durango Map Poster & Print
Seen from above, Durango is shaped by its valley. The Animas River runs roughly north to south through town, and the main streets run beside it in long parallel lines, held in by rising ground on both sides. The grid is tight and orderly near the historic centre, then loosens into curving residential roads that climb the slopes and follow the side drainages.
Durango was founded by the railroad in 1880, and the rail line is still easy to trace on the map. The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad leaves from the depot at the south end of downtown and follows the river north into the San Juan Mountains. Above the eastern edge of town, Fort Lewis College sits on a flat mesa top, a clearly separate cluster of campus roads.
A Durango map poster turns that geography into clean black lines on white: the river's meander, the straight blocks of the old commercial district, the rail corridor and the contour-hugging streets on the hillsides. It works as a portrait of a mountain town where the land decides where every road can go.

Narrow gauge line
The historic railway runs from the downtown depot up the valley toward Silverton, a thin line that mirrors the river as both head into the mountains.
Campus on the mesa
Fort Lewis College occupies a flat mesa above town, its looping campus roads set apart from the valley grid by a steep, switchbacking climb.

Zašto Durango
Mapa koja nešto znači
Durango tends to stay with people who have skied, rafted, studied or worked there. A map of the valley, with its river and rail line side by side, is a quiet reminder of mountain seasons and the town that sits at the start of the San Juans.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a graduation year or a move-in date, and choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit a cabin wall or a city apartment.
