Canal fingers
Man-made canals reach inland from the bay in parallel strips, each lined with houses. They are the most distinctive shapes on the map and read beautifully in white against dark streets.

Mapa
East Massapequa Map Poster & Print
East Massapequa lies on the South Shore of Long Island, in the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, at the border with Suffolk. Its streets fill the flat plain in close rows. The map runs in clear bands from north to south: major roads and the rail line at the top, residential blocks in the middle, and water at the bottom.
Toward the bay the street pattern changes. Straight roads give way to canals cut inland from the water, lined with narrow house lots so that many homes back directly onto a waterway. On a black-and-white print the canals appear as fine, parallel fingers of white reaching into the neighbourhood, one of the most recognisable shapes on Long Island's shore.
The main east–west roads, Merrick Road and Sunrise Highway, cross the community in long straight lines, and the Long Island Rail Road runs alongside Sunrise Highway. An East Massapequa map poster puts those familiar routes together with the quieter streets and canals: the everyday geography of a commuter suburb by the water.

Sunrise Highway corridor
Sunrise Highway and the rail line alongside it form a strong horizontal band across the community, dividing the northern streets from those closer to the water.
Dense suburban blocks
Between the highways and the shore, closely spaced residential streets create an even texture of fine lines that fills most of the sheet.

Zašto East Massapequa
Mapa koja nešto znači
East Massapequa is a place of long-held family homes and summers spent near the water. A map of it makes a natural gift for parents or grandparents, with the title, subtitle and coordinates line personalised to name the house, the family or the year.
The canals look striking in Blueprint and Noir, while Paper and Sand give a warmer, quieter result. Classic black & white is the most restrained. You can get a free watermarked preview before buying the $9 HD files, or order a matte print with an optional frame.
