Mapa
East Northport Map Poster & Print
East Northport is a hamlet in the Town of Huntington, in Suffolk County on Long Island. It lies just inland from the village of Northport and the harbours of the North Shore. On a map it is almost entirely residential: a dense web of curving streets, loops and cul-de-sacs, broken by a few straighter main roads that carry traffic across the island.
Much of East Northport took shape in the decades after the Second World War, when Long Island's suburbs grew quickly. The street pattern reflects that period, with neighbourhoods laid out in self-contained blocks around schools and parks. The Long Island Rail Road's Port Jefferson Branch passes through, and Northport station, which sits in East Northport, gives the map a clear line and a local centre.
The land here is gently rolling, part of the glacial terrain that shapes the North Shore, with pockets of woodland between the houses. An East Northport map poster shows this suburban texture in fine detail, a pattern that looks uniform at first glance and turns out to be full of small variations.

Railway line
The LIRR Port Jefferson Branch crosses the area in a long, gentle line. It cuts through the suburban pattern and gives the map a clear structural axis.
Toward the harbour
To the north the land slopes toward Northport and the waters of the North Shore. A wider view brings the coastline into the frame and places the suburb in its geography.
