Mapa
East Peoria Map Poster & Print
East Peoria occupies the eastern shore of the Illinois River, looking straight across at downtown Peoria. On the map the river is the dominant shape, a wide ribbon that swells upstream into Peoria Lake. Several bridges stitch the two cities together, and the town's streets follow the narrow floodplain before climbing onto the bluffs that rise sharply to the east.
That topography gives East Peoria a split character. Along the river, roads, rail lines and larger commercial parcels run parallel to the shore. Up on the higher ground, residential streets loop and branch along ravines and ridges, producing a far more irregular pattern than the flat grids found across much of central Illinois.
The town is part of Tazewell County and is closely tied to the industrial history of the Peoria area, including manufacturing along the river. It is also known locally for its winter Festival of Lights. An East Peoria map poster sets the calm width of the river against the busy lines of the bank and the twisting streets of the bluffs.

Riverside flats
A narrow strip of level land beside the river carries the main roads, rail and larger sites, all running parallel to the shoreline in long straight lines.
Bluff-top streets
East of the flats, the ground rises into bluffs cut by ravines, and the streets there curve and branch to follow the terrain rather than a grid.

Zašto East Peoria
Mapa koja nešto znači
For anyone who has driven across those bridges or grown up on the bluffs, the map shows the town as it is actually lived: always facing the river, always a little uphill from it. It works well in a pair with a Peoria print.
You can add a personal title, a subtitle with a name or a meaningful date, and edit the coordinates line. The five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, let the river read soft or bold.
